Wat zou je zien als je alle heide van de Ginkelse Hei kon verwijderen? Wat zou er naar boven komen en wat zou dit ons vertellen over de geschiedenis van het gebied? In deze reis duiken de studenten van Wageningen University & Research in de geheimen van de Ginkelse Hei, met behulp van het AHN op locatie en leren ze het onzichtbare te zien.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landschapsgeografie: meer zien dan je kunt met het AHN op locatie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Het hoogtemodel (hoogtekaart) van Nederland; het Actueel Hoogtebestand Nederland (AHN<\/a>) is onlangs bijgewerkt en is online beschikbaar als openbrongegevens. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tijdens deze reis werden leerlingen meegenomen naar de Ginkelse Hei bij Ede en leerden ze over geografie en zelfs landschapsarcheologie in het gebied. Omdat het gebied bedekt is met heide, met beperkte menselijke bemoeienis in de afgelopen eeuwen, kan de geschiedenis van het gebied goed worden bekeken door naar de gefilterde hoogtemodellen te kijken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
